Last Updated: April 10, 2025
Welcome to American Lighting & Electrical Services! By engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms outline the expectations, responsibilities, and agreements between you (the customer) and American Lighting & Electrical Services (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected] or 561-689-4854.
1. Estimate Validity
- Duration: All estimates provided by American Lighting & Electrical Services are valid for 15 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Revisions: Estimates are approximations and may be adjusted at any time due to changes in project scope, customer-requested modifications, unforeseen conditions, or supplier price updates. We will notify you promptly of any revisions.
2. Payment Terms
- Standard Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of the job unless a different payment schedule has been agreed upon in writing.
- Accepted Methods: We accept payments via cash, check, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and bank transfers. Payment details will be provided on your invoice.
- Late Payments: Payments not received within 7 days of job completion may incur a late fee of 5% of the total amount due. We reserve the right to suspend services until payment is received.
3. Project Timeline
- Estimated Completion: Project timelines are estimates based on the scope of work, weather conditions, material availability, and any changes requested by you. For example, a standard residential lighting installation may take 1-3 days, while larger commercial projects could span weeks.
- Delays: We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as supply chain disruptions, severe weather, or unexpected site conditions. We will keep you updated on any changes to the schedule.
4. Additional Charges
- Scope of Work: Any work not explicitly included in the original estimate—such as additional wiring, fixture upgrades, or emergency repairs—will be considered extra and may incur additional charges.
- Revised Estimates: If additional work is needed, we will provide a revised estimate for your approval before proceeding.
5. Warranty
- Service Warranty:
- Maintenance or repair services come with a 15-day warranty. If an issue arises, notify us via phone (561-689-4854) or email ([email protected]) within 15 days of service completion for a free follow-up visit.
- All other services, including installations and upgrades, include a 30-day warranty unless specified otherwise in writing.
- Product Warranty: Materials and products (e.g., light fixtures, generators, EV chargers) are covered under the manufacturer’s standard warranty terms. We will assist in coordinating with the manufacturer if issues arise.
- Exclusions: Warranties are void if damage results from customer misuse (e.g., improper handling of equipment), neglect, or external factors like storms, power surges, or vandalism.
6. Customer Responsibilities
By accepting an estimate or engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide clear access to the work site, including parking for our service vehicles and entry to relevant areas of your property.
- Secure any necessary permits or approvals (e.g., HOA permissions) unless we agree in writing to handle them for you.
- Communicate changes or concerns promptly to avoid delays or additional costs.
- Make payments on time as outlined above.
7. Communication Consent
- By accepting an estimate, you consent to receive invoices, project updates, and service reminders from us via text message and/or email. You may opt out of non-essential messages by replying “STOP” to texts or contacting us directly.
8. Safety and Compliance
- We are a licensed, state-certified electrical contractor (License Number: EC13009589) committed to adhering to all local, state, and federal safety standards. Our team uses industry-best practices to ensure quality and safety on every job, from residential EV charger installations to commercial lighting retrofits.
9. Limitation of Liability
- American Lighting & Electrical Services is not liable for damages caused by pre-existing conditions (e.g., outdated wiring not identified prior to work), customer modifications, or third-party actions.
- Our liability is limited to the total cost of the services provided under the agreed-upon estimate. We are not responsible for indirect damages, such as lost business revenue or property value.
10. Termination of Services
- We reserve the right to terminate services if payment is not received as agreed, or if the work environment becomes unsafe (e.g., exposed hazards, aggressive behavior). You may terminate services at any time, but you will be responsible for costs incurred up to that point, including labor and materials.
11. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
